Cutlas is a hyper-local discovery marketplace that connects customers with independent and home-based barbers. Cutlas is operated by Cutlas LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Cutlas," "we," "us"). Cutlas provides a platform for barbers to list their services and for customers to discover and contact barbers. Cutlas does NOT facilitate bookings, payments between customers and barbers (except reservation fees), or any services beyond discovery and initial contact facilitation. Cutlas is not a party to any agreement or interaction between a customer and a barber.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Cutlas, whether as a customer or as a barber. By creating an account you represent that you are at least 18 and have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. Cutlas is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under 18; if we learn a user is under 18 we may suspend or terminate the account.
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify Cutlas immediately of any unauthorized use.
Customers use Cutlas to discover and contact barbers. Barbers are independent contractors who list their services. Barbers are not employees or agents of Cutlas.
Barbers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listing and the quality, safety, and legality of their services, including any required license. Cutlas does not vet, screen, endorse, or guarantee any barber's services.
Customers must complete verification to access barber contact information. Contact information may only be used to inquire about and book services.
A $1.00 reservation fee applies per booking. This fee is non-refundable except as described in the Refund Policy. The fee is platform revenue and does not represent a payment to the barber.
8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK; IN-PERSON INTERACTIONS
Cutlas is a discovery platform only. All scheduling, payment for services, and in-person meetings happen off-platform, at locations you choose, which may be private residences. Cutlas does not screen, background-check, or supervise users and does not guarantee any user's identity, conduct, safety, or qualifications. YOU INTERACT WITH OTHER USERS AT YOUR OWN RISK. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all risk from any in-person interaction and release Cutlas and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claims arising from the acts or omissions of any user. We encourage you to take sensible precautions whenever you meet another user in person.

Cutlas's logos and marks are owned by Cutlas. Content you upload remains yours, but you grant Cutlas a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display it on the platform. You represent that you own or have rights to any content you upload.
CUTLAS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. CUTLAS DOES NOT ENDORSE ANY BARBER LISTED ON THE PLATFORM.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CUTLAS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER OR ANY IN-PERSON INTERACTION. CUTLAS'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID CUTLAS IN THE PRIOR THREE (3) MONTHS OR USD $20. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD, OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY CUTLAS'S OWN ACTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cutlas and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Cutlas may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or the Content Policy. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Sections 8 and 10–16 survive termination.
Cutlas may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Before starting an arbitration, email cutlased@gmail.com and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally. Except for small-claims matters, disputes are resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Collin County, Texas; Cutlas pays the AAA fees that exceed what you would have paid to file the same claim in court. You and Cutlas waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class or representative action. If the class-action waiver is held unenforceable as to any claim, that claim proceeds in court in Collin County, Texas, not in class arbitration.

The $1.00 booking reservation fee is NON-REFUNDABLE under all ordinary circumstances.
This fee is platform revenue retained by Cutlas. It is NOT forwarded to the barber.
Because service fulfillment occurs outside the Cutlas platform, Cutlas cannot issue refunds based on:
Cutlas does not mediate service disputes. These must be resolved directly with the barber outside of the app.
BILLING ERROR EXCEPTION: If you were charged in error (e.g., duplicate charge or technical failure), contact cutlased@gmail.com within 7 days.
Subscription fees (Cutlas Premium — $9.00/month or $79.00/year) are non-refundable. No refunds are issued for:
FREE TRIAL: A card is required to start the 90-day trial, but you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. Charges after the trial are non-refundable.
BILLING ERRORS: Contact cutlased@gmail.com within 7 days of a suspected error.
The $4.00 boost fee is a one-time payment for 7 days of priority placement — not a subscription. Boost fees are non-refundable once the boosted placement begins. If a boost was charged but never applied (e.g., technical failure), contact cutlased@gmail.com within 7 days and we will apply it or refund it.

Cutlas offers a single plan — Cutlas Premium — with two billing options:
Both include the same features: your listing in the discovery feed, appearance in search results sorted by proximity, portfolio, reviews, and bookings. Both renew automatically until canceled.
Cutlas reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice.
All new barbers receive a 90-day free trial, starting when your listing is created. A payment card is required to start the trial — you pay $0.00 today and your card is not charged until the trial ends. Your listing is visible to customers once your trial subscription is in place; if you skip checkout, it stays hidden until you start the trial from the Subscription screen. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged. The trial is offered once per listing: canceling and re-subscribing does not restart it, and subscribing with less than 48 hours left in the trial begins billing immediately.
Your listing is active while your subscription is in trial, active, or in the failed-payment grace period. If your subscription lapses, your listing is deactivated and hidden from customers. Reactivating does not grant a new trial.
Subscription fees are non-refundable. No refunds for partial billing periods. Contact cutlased@gmail.com within 7 days if you believe you were charged in error.
Switch between monthly and annual billing at any time via the billing portal. Timing and any proration follow our payment processor's standard handling and are shown before you confirm.
A Boost gives your listing priority placement for 7 days. It is a one-time $4.00 purchase (or a free referral credit) — not a subscription, no auto-renewal. Boosts unlock once your listing is 30 days old; boosting while one is active extends it by 7 days. Boost fees are non-refundable once placement begins. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.
Share your referral code with other barbers. When a barber you referred makes their first successful subscription payment, you earn one free boost credit. Trials that never convert to payment do not trigger a reward. Self-referral or abuse may result in revoked credits and account action; Cutlas may modify or end the program with notice.
If your account is terminated for policy violations, no refund is issued for unused subscription time or active Boosts.
